My name is Christian Cooper. I'm seeking a full-time position as a creative director or art director at a progressive agency or company in Los Angeles or the San Francisco Bay Area.
I'm currently a freelance creative director and art director for Fox Consumer products, Sony Filmed Entertainment, and several other clients.
I'm also a journalist who covers skateboarding, art, and culture.
In my off hours, I'm developing iPad magazine applications and drinking large amounts of coffee.
My art direction and design career began more than 15 years ago in the action sports industry, and I continue to design for several action sports clients in the skateboarding and apparel industries. My professional background ranges from developing design and product concepts for several well-known brands and lecturing as a working artist at universities, to creating gallery shows and designing for print, television, film, games, and web sites.

Or I might be making something out of found objects, sketching, or simply taking mental notes about what I want to try next. Or I might be writing fiction or non-fiction stories. Or blurring the line between the two.
No set style, no formulaic process, just one everchanging adventure.
I don't necessarily believe in the old adage "Work hard, play harder." When your work is also your passion, hard work never seems all that hard. Often it doesn't feel like work at all. A strong work ethic can be its own reward, no need to go out and party like it's 1999 after completing every project. That's just the way I see it.
